To celebrate the milestone, the festival is rolling out an unforgettable experience, including additional music, an extra night of camping, earlier-than-ever gate openings, new bonus features and campground programming. Check out the full lineup here!
We offer a free shuttle service between the festival grounds and the town of White Sulphur Springs. The shuttle will stop at two locations on the festival grounds and various locations in White Sulphur Springs. Shuttles will be cycling continuously throughout the weekend to better serve festival attendees. Shuttle availability will include two shuttles on Thursday to help get you downtown for the street dance, and during the festival there will be one shuttle during the day until 5:30pm, followed by two shuttles at night. Please, no drinking and driving. The state troopers and local law enforcement will be out making sure everyone is safe! See the schedule for shuttle hours of operation.

Come to the main ticketing gate to drop off or pick up lost and found items.
MUSIC with a MISSION! Proceeds from the Red Ants Pants Music Festival support the work of the Red Ants Pants Foundation. Programs include Community Grants, Women’s Work Skills courses, the Girls Leadership Program, and more. Come visit the Foundation Tent, located in the center of the back infield next to Jim Dolan’s big red ant, to check out one of our events and learn more about our impact!
Stop by the artist merchandise tent to purchase CDs and merchandise from our Main Stage and Street Dance bands. The tent is located on the northwest side of the Main Stage. Side Stage artists will sell their merch immediately following their set at the Side Stage, if available.
Stop by our festival merchandise tent to peruse Red Ants Pants Music Festival goods including: vintage snap shirts, hooded long-sleeved sun shirts, festival tees & tanks, hats, koozies, posters, playing cards, drinkware, totes, Crazy Creek chairs, bumper stickers, magnets, neck coolies, and more!
Hey parents! Stop by the kids tent for fun activities, face painting, treats, and more. For parents with wee ones, it is a great place to rest in the shade. This year we’ve teamed up with the KGLT Kids, Montana Discovery Foundation, Shooting Star Saddlery, Thrive, Full Circle Wellness, and Women’s Foundation of Montana to provide more fun opportunities for kids to learn. Please note: the kids tent is not a babysitting service. This is not a place to drop off your kiddos, but a place to enjoy activities with them. For new parents, be sure to check out our family care tent provided by Tree of Life Family Care.
The disposable cups we serve in our draft beer tent are compostable – please be sure to dispose of these in the proper recycling receptacle. Cheers!
Standing room will be available in front of the stage. There will be a well-marked boundary for where chairs and canopies are allowed. Please regard signage for where to place your chairs and canopies so we can maintain good viewing for everyone! Staff will be welcoming you in and showing you the boundaries. Chairs and canopies may remain up throughout the weekend.
When lining up on Friday to get your spot, you must hold your place in line in person. Leaving a chair in line does not count! When ‘homestaking’ for your spot, please remember to be nice to your neighbors. If we see anyone throwing elbows you will be sent to the corner.
We have several shade structures onsite to help you cool down. The Draft Beer tent is further up front to provide more shade closer to the main stage. Shade covers with seating are still available on each side of the main stage as well as near the food vendors. Please take a rest and then allow someone else to enjoy. And if an old-timer or expecting mother needs a spot, you darn well better make room! Thank you! NOTE: If you bring your own chair to one of the shade structures in the back, please do not park your chair here as everyone needs a break from the sun!
A real, honest-to-goodness dance floor! Thanks to a partnership with Rich Miller over in Anaconda, Montana, you’ll be able to show off your moves on a beautiful plywood dance floor. We hope that this makes dancing more enjoyable and reduces the dust that is kicked up when you’re kicking up your heels! Come check out the dance area between the artist merchandise tent and the main stage. And as always, a reminder to be respectful of everyone’s festival enjoyment, whether you like to sit, stand, or swing your partner! Don’t forget to join us Thursday night downtown for dance lessons before the street dance.
Details are being confirmed. Complimentary hayrides are typically available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between the campground, day parking, and festival grounds. The schedule depends entirely on the draft horses and mules, so grab a ride if you’re in the right place at the right time! Big thanks to Sunnyside Farms, Outlaw Carriage Company, and Yankee Creek Carriage Company for providing this service. Be sure to contact these farms for your horse-drawn needs!
There is free potable water by the Festival Merch tent on the West side of the infield, as well as in the campground at the white flag. Many vendors also have bottled water and we sell sparkling water at our canned beer stations. Please take good care of yourselves in the heat!
Thanks to the support of our community partner and sponsor, Triangle Communications, internet will be available in the Festival Area of the venue. Attendees will be able to sign up onsite for a day ($7) or weekend pass ($15) through the Wi-Fi settings in your phone and pay via PayPal.
The Wi-Fi network does not extend to the campground. Generally, Verizon cellular service is better onsite than AT&T, but as more folks onsite are using devices, the slower you’ll scroll…and cellular hotspots may not work. We encourage you to take a break from your device and enjoy being together with the colony. Really needing to connect? There are a number of wonderful businesses in town that offer complimentary internet access for customers and Triangle Communications increases speeds in town to ensure they can service the need!
FREE Showers are available for campers in the campground near the white flag! See hours posted at showers. Please be courteous of other campers and keep showers short.
Details still being confirmed. In the campground, head to G3 (near the Middle Gate between the festival/campground) to visit our wonderful friends at Yellowstone Coffee Roasters. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they’re serving up espresso drinks, hot drip, cold brew, breakfast burritos from Cowboy Catering, and sweet treats from Wild Oats to get your mornin’ rollin’!
Once gates are open, our food vendors Coffee & Cream (vendor Q) and Cowboy Catering (vendor O) will also have a variety of breakfast items including breakfast burritos and breakfast crepes!
You can also take the free shuttle into town to enjoy a full service breakfast at Bob and Kelli’s Cafe (7a), Wild Oats Bakery (7a), and Bar 47 (8-11a). Other local breakfast offerings include Haugan Express (6a) and Lane Bar’s Bloody Mary & Caesar bar (9a-noon).
Meagher County City Library will hold a book sale on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM in their beautiful new library on the main road into town from the south – 205 Garfield. Proceeds will go toward the new library!
Being mindful of waste is important to us. We partner with 406 Recycling to make recycling and compost at Red Ants Pants a breeze! Simply look for their recycling bins and composting tubes across the festival grounds and they will take care of the rest!
-
- Beer tent cups Our beer cups are compostable! Simply empty and turn them upside down in the green tubes throughout the draft beer tent and 406 will collect them for composting. After the festival, collected cups will help feed worms and make soil with vermiculture!
- Plastic bottles & aluminum cans Transparent recycling bins are located throughout the festival grounds–discard your water bottle lids in the trash, and recycle the rest! Please help us keep these receptacles free of regular trash so as not to make more work for our fabulous recycling crew!
- Campground Recycling Campers can recycle cans, plastic bottles, and cardboard at the recycling center near the campground vehicle entrance/exit. Please break down cardboard (lightweight cardboard okay) and remove plastic lids. Greasy and wet cardboard cannot be recycled.
- Vendor Waste Many vendors participate in other recycling and waste reduction efforts behind the scenes as well for cardboard, cans, and more!
Got a hitch in your giddy-up? There are marked disability accessible areas in both the campground and day parking. Certified service animals are allowed with prior permission; please contact info [at] redantspantsmusicfestival [dot] com in advance to submit your request.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to ask festival staff or a volunteer. Once again, we will have a dedicated area to provide a better view for folks in wheelchairs; the entrance to this area is near the VIP tent. Visit our special services page for additional information.
Both Meagher County and the Festival have made significant investments to reduce dust. A huge thank you to the County for investing in road treatments to keep the dust down. We’re also grateful to have a custom watering truck to help us utilize a deep watering technique found to be the most effective way to reduce dust on a working cattle ranch.
We partner with REES (Respect, Educate, Empower Survivors) to enable a simple, secure online platform for reporting sexual violence – to report an unwanted interaction, please talk to our staff, law enforcement, or report it anonymously at the non-tracking and secure site, https://www.reescommunity.com/festivals/, depending on what feels best for you. You can also take time to process your experience and report it at any time after the event through this website; REES also provides information about community-based resources such as sexual assault centers, healthcare, and other support services.
As hard as we’ve tried, we can’t seem to control the weather. We do however have NOAA weather meteorologists in Great Falls and onsite helping us read the skies. In case of a weather emergency, please follow instructions from our staff. Vehicles are the safest place during a lightning storm with the doors closed and windows rolled up.
In the event of an evacuation please return to your vehicles as quickly and calmly as possible. Leave your chairs/canopies for later. Those of you who came on the shuttle (or don’t have a vehicle), head to the Main Entrance and the shuttle will stay there and allow you to board and hunker down. Please do not bring your chairs on the bus during an evacuation!
After an evacuation, you’ll know it is safe to return when you see the large American Flag go back up on the fire engine’s ladder truck. Our staff will also patrol the campground and parking areas to announce when the festival grounds will reopen. Please remember that we are a huge metal stage in an open cow pasture, so be smart! We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
We will all appreciate the reward of a gorgeous sunset once any weather clears!
Please call 911. We have a dispatch incident command trailer onsite, so the Meagher County Dispatch will be connected directly. There are fire trucks and ambulances onsite in case of emergencies. There is also a first aid tent located by the Main Entrance and Middle Campground Gates. Please be safe and don’t get hurt!!! For non-emergencies, security can be contacted directly at 406-209-8174.
It’s fire season in Montana, folks – as always, no open flame including charcoal and fire pits. Please refrain from smoking and if you need to smoke, please do so in the designated areas cleared of grass and be very aware when you dispose of your butt that it is entirely extinguished.
