MUSIC with a MISSION! Proceeds from the Red Ants Pants Music Festival support the work of the Red Ants Pants Foundation. Programs include Community Grants, Women’s Work Skills courses, the Girls Leadership Program, and more. Come visit our Foundation Tent, located next to the demo area, to check out one of our events and learn more about our impact!

Stop by the artist merchandise tent to purchase CDs and merchandise from our main stage and street dance bands. The tent is located on the northwest side of the main stage.

Stop by our festival merchandise tent to peruse vintage snap shirts, hooded long-sleeved sunshirts, festival tees & tanks, Red Ant trucker hats, kids hats, koozies, posters, playing cards, coffee mugs, wine tumblers, bumper stickers, magnets, neck coolies, and more!

Hey parents! Stop by the kids tent for face painting, treats, and fun, educational activities and crafts! For parents with wee ones, it is a great place to rest in the shade. Changing table, baby potties, and feeding area will be available. This year we’ve teamed up with the KGLT Kids, Montana Discovery Foundation, Shooting Star Saddlery, Thrive, and Women’s Foundation of Montana to provide more fun opportunities for kids to learn – full program schedule here.

Please note: the kids tent is not a babysitting service. This is not a place to drop off your kiddos, but a place to enjoy activities with them. For new parents, be sure to check out our family care tent provided by Tree of Life Doula.

The disposable cups we serve in our draft beer tent are compostable – please be sure to dispose of these in the proper recycling receptacle. Cheers!

AGAIN THIS YEAR! We have been listening to your feedback to allow better viewing for all, as well as shade for those who bring it, so we have bumped our tent/canopy area back by 30 feet. This will be well-marked onsite and staff will be welcoming you in and showing you the new boundaries. We very much appreciate your feedback and cooperation!

When lining up on Friday to get your spot, you must hold your place in line IN PERSON. Leaving a chair in line does not count! When ‘homestaking’ for your spot, please remember to be nice to your neighbors. If we see anyone throwing elbows you will be sent to the corner. Canopies may remain up throughout the weekend.

Shade covers with seating are available on each side of the main stage. Please take a rest and then allow someone else to enjoy. And if an old-timer or pregnant lady needs a spot you darn well better make room! Thank you! There are additional shade structures near the food vendors where you can bring your own chair. We ask that you don’t park your chair here as everyone needs a break from the sun.

A real, honest-to-goodness dance floor! Thanks to a partnership with Rich Miller over in Anaconda, Montana, you’ll be able to show off your moves on a beautiful plywood dance floor. We hope that this makes dancing more enjoyable and reduces the dust that is kicked up when you’re kicking up your heels! Come check out the dance area between the artist merchandise tent and the main stage. And as always, a reminder to be respectful of everyone’s festival enjoyment, whether you like to sit, stand, or swing your partner!

Complimentary hayrides will be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between the campground, day parking, and festival grounds. The schedule depends entirely on the draft horses and mules, so grab a ride if you’re in the right place at the right time! Big thanks to Sunnyside FarmsOutlaw Carriage Company, and Yankee Creek Carriage Company for providing this service. Be sure to contact these farms for your horse-drawn needs!

We have several shade structures onsite to help you cool down. Please use them respectfully and share! If it’s hot, the fire trucks may be willing to cool you down. There is free potable water in the campground at the white flag and near the Main Gate entrance. Many vendors also have bottled water and we sell sparkling water at our canned beer stations. Please take good care of yourselves in the heat!

Thanks to the support of our community partner and sponsor, Triangle Communications, internet will be available in the Festival Area of the venue.  Attendees will be able to sign up onsite for a day or weekend pass through the Wi-Fi settings in your phone and pay via PayPal.

The Wi-Fi network does not extend to the campground. Generally, Verizon cellular service is better onsite than AT&T, but as more folks onsite are using devices, the slower you’ll scroll…and cellular hotspots may not work. We encourage you to take a break from your device and enjoy being together with the colony. Really needing to connect? There are a number of wonderful businesses in town that offer complimentary internet access for customers and Triangle Communications increases speeds in town to ensure they can service the need!

Showers are available for campers in the campground near the white flag for free! See hours posted at showers. Please be courteous of other campers and keep showers short.

In the campground, there’s no Cattlewomen’s breakfast this year, so head to G3 (near the Middle Gate between the festival/campground) to visit our wonderful friends at Yellowstone Coffee Roasters. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they’re serving up espresso drinks, hot drip, cold brew, and donuts that will get your mornin’ rollin’! Inside the festival grounds, food vendor Coffee & Cream (near the beer tent) has breakfast burritos and more!

A number of our food vendors in the festival grounds serve other breakfast offerings when the grounds are open, or take the free shuttle into town to enjoy a full service breakfast at Bob and Kelli’s Cafe (7a), Bar 47 (7a), Montana Roadhouse (9a), and brunch at The Jawbone (9a-1p Sat/Sun).

Other local breakfast offerings include Wild Oats Bakery (7a-2p Wed-Sat, closes noon Sun) across from Mathis Grocery downtown, Haugan Express (6a), and Lane Bar’s Bloody Mary & Caesar bar (9a-noon).

Meagher County City Library will hold a book sale on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM in their beautiful new library on the main road into town from the south – 205 Garfield. Proceeds will go toward the new library!

The disposable cups we serve in our draft beer tent are compostable – please be sure to dispose of these in the proper recycling receptacle. Cheers!

Red Ants Pants Music Festival has again partnered with 406 Recycling to make recycling easy! Simply look for recycling bins for your plastic bottles (empty, discard plastic lids) and aluminum cans (empty first, separate and recycle metal lids) throughout the venue and campground. AGAIN THIS YEAR our beer tent cups are compostable and will be collected to feed worms and make soil with vermiculture using the green tubes throughout the venue (upside down please). Campers can recycle cans, plastic bottles, and cardboard at the recycling center near the campground vehicle entrance/exit. Please break down cardboard (lightweight cardboard okay), do not include greasy or wet cardboard, and remove plastic lids. Many vendors will be participating in other recycling and waste reduction efforts behind the scenes as well! Thank you for being green and keeping Montana beautiful! More details: 406recycling.com/RAP

Got a hitch in your giddy-up? There are marked disability accessible areas in both the campground and day parking. Certified service animals are allowed with prior permission; please contact info [at] redantspantsmusicfestival [dot] com in advance to submit your request.

If you need anything else, do not hesitate to ask festival staff or a volunteer. Once again, we will have a dedicated area to provide a better view for folks in wheelchairs; the entrance to this area is near the VIP tent. Visit our special services page for additional information.

Once again, both Meagher County and the Festival have made significant investments to reduce dust. A huge thank you to the County for investing in road treatments to keep the dust down. We’re also grateful to have a custom watering truck to help us utilize a deep watering technique found to be the most effective way to reduce dust on a working cattle ranch.

We partner with REES (Respect, Educate, Empower Survivors) to enable a simple, secure online platform for reporting sexual violence – to report an unwanted interaction, please talk to our staff, law enforcement, or report it anonymously at the non-tracking and secure site, https://www.reescommunity.com/festivals/, depending on what feels best for you. You can also take time to process your experience and report it at any time after the event through this website; REES also provides information about community-based resources such as sexual assault centers, healthcare, and other support services.

As hard as we’ve tried, we can’t seem to control the weather. We do however have NOAA weather meteorologists in Great Falls and onsite helping us read the skies. In case of a weather emergency, please follow instructions from our staff. Vehicles are the safest place during a lightning storm with the doors closed and windows rolled up.

In the event of an evacuation please return to your vehicles as quickly and calmly as possible. Leave your chairs/canopies for later. Those of you who came on the shuttle (or don’t have a vehicle), head to the Main Entrance and the shuttle will stay there and allow you to board and hunker down. Please do not bring your chairs on the bus during an evacuation!

We won’t evacuate to be fun killers, we’ll evacuate to make sure nobody gets hurt, especially your favorite artists on the big metal stage! You can throw rotten tomatoes at Calhoun after the evacuation, but only if you cooperate.

After an evacuation, you’ll know it is safe to return when you see the large American Flag go back up on the fire engine’s ladder truck. Our staff will also patrol the campground and parking areas to announce when the festival grounds will reopen. Please remember that we are a huge metal stage in an open cow pasture, so be smart! We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

We will all appreciate the reward of a gorgeous sunset once any weather clears!

Please call 911. We have a dispatch incident command trailer onsite, so the Meagher County Dispatch will be connected directly. There are fire trucks and ambulances onsite in case of emergencies. There is also a first aid tent located by the Main Entrance and Middle Campground Gates. Please be safe and don’t get hurt!!! For non-emergencies, security can be contacted directly at 406-209-8174‬.

We promise to put together a safe event and will need to rely on all of you to help make this possible through our golden rule: BE NICE. Remember, we don’t know each other’s perspective, experience, or medical conditions, but what we do know is that we are all choosing to be here to celebrate together. Learn more.
