Award winning songwriter, Rachel Laven carries songs like lanterns through the dark, glowing with fire and truth. A Texas native now rooted in Nashville, Laven grew up in the Texas tradition of writing songs that are simple yet profound. Her voice feels like both an invitation and confession, weaving folk tradition with outlaw country and soul. Laven grew up in a musical family, recording her first album at 13 years old with her family band. Rachel now gathers her stories into her third album releasing later this year – a record of hard won life lessons.
